Where they stand
Seven questions the site puts to every list. Tap a tile for the party’s words and source.
Bar colour: the stance’s place in the issue’s range of answers, from dark red at one end of the debate to dark green at the other, shared across all lists. The economy’s options coexist, so its bar is a pale tint with an ink outline, not a step on that range. Squares: one slot per answer, in the same order, with the party’s square in its own; a square in the last slot means no answer. Dotted inner border: not said publicly, from the record; open the tile to see why.
Haredi draft. Should Haredi yeshiva students be drafted?
National service for all; the "only mechanism for deferring service will be an allocation of up to 3% of each annual cohort for outstanding individuals." Eisenkot puts that at about 2,200 a year of a 70,000-person national cohort (all Israelis, not Haredim only), and would "revoke any state incentives granted to those who evade service."

Who they are
- Founded Sept 16, 2025 by Gadi Eisenkot with about 120 co-founders, after he left the Knesset. (Times of Israel, Sep 16, 2025)
- Named for freed hostage Eli Sharabi's line that bringing the captives home was “not about right or left, but straight (yashar).” (Times of Israel)
- Recruits include former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen (No. 2), Orit Farkash-Hacohen and Elazar Stern (No. 12). (Times of Israel, May 5 and Sep 7, 2026)
- Surplus-vote partner: The Democrats (signed Sept 10). (Times of Israel, Sep 10, 2026)
Surplus agreement with The Democrats: both lists are on course to pass the threshold.
Who votes for them
- New list; no 2022 result. Eisenkot ran in 2022 on National Unity, which won 12 seats. (IDI, accessed Oct 5, 2026)
- Targets “Route 4” commuter suburbs: Petah Tikva, Kiryat Ono, Holon; also courting former Likud voters. (Times of Israel, Jul 1 and Sep 14, 2026)
- “Security-minded, centrist or moderate-right, secular or religiously traditional.” (JC, Oct 4, 2026)
- Largest share of first-time voters (18–22): 16%. (N12/Midgam via JPost, Sep 23, 2026)

Pledges to be tested in coalition talks
- Partners must accept four principles, including service for all and Hamas “to be dismantled and destroyed.” “I do not rule out any Zionist party.” (JPost, Sep 24, 2026)
- On Ra'am: Mansour Abbas “won't be part of my next government.” No Haredi party currently meets his criteria. (Times of Israel, Sep 26, 2026)
- "Absolutely not. I will not serve under Netanyahu, not even in a rotation agreement." (Jerusalem Post, Oct 21, 2026) (Jerusalem Post, Oct 21, 2026; Haaretz, Oct 21, 2026)
In their words
“Netanyahu initially opposed including that objective, and I forced it upon him on the ninth day of the war.”
